Wanting to step into the world of sewing but don’t know where to start?
Learn to Sew 1 is for complete beginners, where you can learn to sew with confidence. On this course, you will learn how to use a sewing machine and build an understanding of all parts, stitches and settings.
We will also teach you basic techniques including sewing accurate straight lines and corners, inserting a zip, topstitching and quilting. Throughout the class you will work to create an envelope cushion cover, reversible tote bag, and a wash bag with a zip fastening. Free printed patterns are included.

Join our Learn to Sew 2 class and get a taste of what you can achieve with your new-found hobby. This course is perfect for those who have attended Learn to Sew 1 or for anyone who knows the sewing basics and would like to further their techniques.
During the course, you will complete a taster of dressmaking, patchwork and home furnishing projects, helping you to decided where you want to take your sewing journey.
Join us and make a pair of Made to Sew unisex pyjama bottoms as well as a patchwork cushion cover with an invisible zip fastening. By the end of the course you will be confident in basic patchwork skills, inserting an invisible zipper, buttonholes and sewing an elastic waistband. Free printed patterns are included.
You won’t want to put that needle and thread down!

Are you having an overlocker nightmare? Or just unsure where to start?
Join our class on how to work with your overlocker and leave the session feeling confident to start your new sewing project at home.
We will cover how to set up and thread the machine, the stitches available, changing the width, length and differential feed and how to deal with tension. Throughout the class we will share tips for using the overlocker in your projects, how to sew different seams, curves and corners.
Please bring your overlocker, 4 different coloured threads and a selection of fabrics.
