Understand fitting and how to fit a garment on your individual figure. In this two-day class you will work with Aneka to study your shape and size; leaving the class with a pattern that fits perfectly, an understanding of your figure and how to implements these amendments to other Made to Sew patterns.

Using your choice of Made to Sew pattern the course will begin by taking a number of accurate body measurements. We ask that you wear or bring suitable snug clothing and well fitting underwear that you wear regularly.

Working firstly on the 2D pattern you will apply a variety of adjustments suited to your individual shape and size. Once complete you will move on to create a sample garment (calico toile), and fit the 3D garment on your body, continuing amendments to achieve a perfect fit. You will leave the class with a pattern that fits perfectly and is ready to cut out in the real fabric at home. As well as a deep understanding of how to fit your individual figure and the necessary adjustments you should be making to our (Made to Sew) range of dressmaking patterns.

Where possible we recommend working with a fitted dress or jacket pattern such as; Copen Dress, Reva Dress or Paxton Jacket.  We recommend attending our fitting techniques course to achieve a perfect fit prior to taking more detailed courses. It is necessary to have previous sewing and dressmaking experience.
